Visiting Stoney Creek Baptist Church
We would love for you to join us!

Time
Our Worship Service starts at 10:30 am on Sunday.

Dress Style
Stoney Creek does not have a set dress code. We invite you to come in what you are comfortable wearing.

Public Transportation
At this point in time, the London Transit Commission does not come by the church. Though this will likely change in the near future with the development of the area, we are only accessible by personal vehicle. Stoney Creek does offer a bus service to the church from the Jensen Road area. For more information about this service, please contact the church office at 519.457.7072

Parking
Once you arrive at Stoney Creek, you will be directed by one of our parking lot attendants into the parking area of Stoney Creek. Traffic is directed in a counter clockwise route around the building.

Children
Children are extremely important to us at Stoney Creek. Nursery and classes are offered for children of all ages. Upon your arrival, please visit the Children’s Ministry desk, located in the East Foyer to register your child.
Safety is our main concern at Stoney Creek, and to better protect your child, we use a matching tag system for parents and their child. These tags serve two purposes: to notify you if we require your assistance, and to allow us to release the child only to the bearer of the matching tag.

Should an issue arise in which we require your assistance, your tag number will be displayed on the two black monitors at the front of the auditorium. Simply go to the back of the auditorium and speak to an usher or go directly to your child’s classroom.

Kindergarteners, 2 & 3 year olds and nursery-aged children begin their program at 10:30 am in their specific rooms. Children in grades 1 – 5 join their families in the main auditorium for the beginning part of the service. They are dismissed from the service to their classes. They will exit the main auditorium doors to their classrooms. There will be adults present to direct children to their respective classrooms.

Coffee & Welcome Centre
Please stop by our kitchen, located in the west foyer, for a cup of coffee or tea, and drop by our Welcome Centre. Our helpful & knowledgeable volunteers will be able to answer any questions that you have about the church, special events and ministries of Stoney Creek.

Praise and Worship
Our worship time includes singing, prayer, and occasionally skits, videos, God stories, and musical presentations. The songs we sing are a mix of newer choruses and older hymns. The words to these songs are displayed on the screen at the front of the auditorium.

Assisted Listening
Assisted listening devices are available during the Sunday morning service. They are available from our sound technician at the back of the auditorium, or from an usher.

Welcome and Announcements
You’ll find a tear-away registration card in the church bulletin. You can fill this out and share with us any prayer requests or needs that you might have. When completed, please place the card in the collection plate or in one of the two wooden boxes at the doors of the auditorium.

Communion
On the first Sunday of the month, we celebrate communion. This is a time when believers remember Christ’s death for our sins with the taking of a piece of bread and drinking a small cup of juice. The bread is passed first, which is a representation of Christ’s body that was broken and beaten, followed by the juice, which represents Christ’s blood that was shed for us. As you take each of these, pray and reflect on the meanings of them and eat or drink it when you feel ready.

Offering
At a certain point during the service, our offering will be taken. This is a time that we give financially back to the Lord to better continue His work. As a guest at Stoney Creek, please do not feel obligated to give an offering.
