Why A WEEK OF PRAYER?
Our conviction at Stoney Creek is that prayer must be fundamental to everything we do. We see biblically that we can do nothing without the power of God working in and through us (John 15:5) and time and time again, we see the early church gathering together to pray (Acts 1:12-14; 23-26; 2:42; 3:1-3; 4:23-31; 6:3-6; 8:14-17; 12:5-17; 13:1-3; 14:23; 16:13-16; 16:25-26; 20:36-38; 21:4-6).
This is why, at the beginning of each year, our desire is to devote ourselves to focused praying together as a church family: To seek His will and His blessing over this year to come.
How does it work?
To start off the new year, we are encouraging everyone who calls Stoney Creek home to seek to grow in your prayer life.
We have put together a Prayer Guide that is designed to guide you over the week. We are praying this short guide will be helpful to you as you daily pursue Christ over the course of this next year.

Join us for one of our 3 weekly prayer meetings
As a church we have 3 prayer meetings every week: one in the morning, afternoon, and evening. We hope you'll make it a habit for this year to join us for one of our church family prayer times.
- Tuesdays at 7am on Zoom (contact the office for the Zoom link)
- Wednesdays at 1pm on Zoom (the link is in the weekly Family Brief email)
- Wednesdays at 7pm at the church (in-person only)
During the Week of Prayer, we have a special Monday evening Church Family Prayer Night, where we're calling together everyone young and old to join together for a focused time of prayer together. Join us Monday, January 8, 2024 at 7pm for a 45-60 minute time of focused prayer.
